Every two seconds, a person in the United States needs blood. Massena Memorial Hospital aims to contribute to the supply of blood available for transfusions, specifically in the North Country, by holding blood drives throughout the year. Blood drives are held in the Community Education Room on the Lower Level of the hospital.
Since Massena Memorial Hospital’s donor center is Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, blood collected during the hospital’s drives stays close to home. Donors at MMH can take pride in the fact that their blood will help patients in need throughout the North Country.
Donors should be sure to bring a valid form of identification with them.
