State Assemblyman Mark Walczyk announced Monday that he’s picked up yet another endorsement as he seeks reelection to the Assembly. This time, Walczyk has been endorsed by Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 73.
Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 73 advocates every day for their members across Northern and Central New York, including their members in Jefferson and St. Lawrence Counties. Members of Local 73 have risen to the occasion during the global pandemic, continuing to provide critical work on hospitals, power generating facilities, schools, and many other institutions.
“For well over a century, Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 73 have fought for their members, just like I’m fighting for them in Albany and I couldn’t be more honored to receive their endorsement,” said Assemblyman Mark Walczyk. “I have a strong record in Albany of fighting for common sense policy that will help New Yorkers succeed. I’ll continue that fight and stand shoulder to shoulder with the members of Local 73 as we continue to make the Front Yard of America a great place to live, work and raise a family for years to come.
“Our members and their families need a strong voice in Albany to defend and create new laws that protect union labor. As such, it gives Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 73 to endorse Mark Walczyk for reelection to the State Assembly. I know Mark both professionally and personally and know that he’s just the voice we need in Albany,” said Patrick Carroll Business Manager for Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 73.
The endorsement of Local 73 is the most recent secured by Assemblyman Mark Walczyk in his bid for reelection to the Assembly. So far, Walczyk has received endorsements from the state’s largest teachers union, NYSUT, the NYSTPBA, the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Association, Inc., CSEA, one of New York’s largest unions and the New York State Law Enforcement Officers Union, Council 82, Local 2390.
