According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 70 percent of adults over the age of 20 are overweight or suffer from obesity. Furthermore, people who are overweight or have obesity are at an increase risk of developing diabetes, high-blood pressure and heart disease. These are some of the reasons that it is important for there to be programs available to help people manage their conditions and get healthy. MMH is proud to offer one these programs. Eating well-balanced meals and exercise are the key to weight management and a healthy lifestyle, and Mary and Beth hope to help participants adopt and maintain healthy habits through their 8-week series.
